04. How Information Is Shared

ER24 may share information as described below.

With contractors

ER24 may share customer request information with contractors so they can evaluate or respond to service opportunities. Before lead access is completed, ER24 may show limited request details such as service type, urgency, general area, description, photos, and city-level location.

After a contractor completes lead access, ER24 may reveal customer contact and location information, including customer name, phone number, email address, full service address, and map-related information, so the contractor can contact the customer and coordinate service.

With customers

ER24 may share contractor information with customers when needed to support request coordination, trust, safety, or customer communication. This may include contractor name, business name, contact information, service category, service area, profile information, approval or availability indicators, or other information needed to coordinate service.

With service providers

ER24 may share information with vendors and service providers that help operate the platform, such as hosting providers, authentication providers, phone verification providers, payment processors, email or messaging providers, storage providers, analytics or logging providers, security tools, support tools, and fraud prevention tools.

These service providers may process information on ER24's behalf or under their own terms and privacy notices, depending on the service.

Legal, safety, fraud, and business reasons

ER24 may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with law, legal process, or government requests.
  • Protect users, contractors, customers, ER24, or the public.
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, harassment, unsafe conduct, unauthorized access, or policy violations.
  • Enforce ER24 terms and policies.
  • Respond to disputes, chargebacks, claims, or safety reports.
  • Support a business transaction such as financing, sale, merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of assets.

ER24 does not sell personal information as part of the current launch model. ER24 does not use personal information for targeted advertising as part of the current launch model.

05. Customer Location and Contact Information

Customer location and contact information are important to roadside assistance requests.

When a customer submits a request, ER24 may collect an address, approximate location, city, state, ZIP code, coordinates, map-related information, contact details, and request details.

Before a contractor completes lead access, ER24 may redact the customer's name, phone number, email address, and full address. After lead access is completed, ER24 may reveal the customer's contact details and full service location to the contractor so the contractor can contact the customer and coordinate service.

Customers should only submit accurate service locations where they are authorized to request help. If a customer is in danger, injured, involved in an accident, blocking traffic, facing a crime, or experiencing a life-safety emergency, the customer should call 911 or the appropriate emergency service immediately.

06. Contractor Information and Documents

ER24 may collect contractor profile information and documents to support trust, safety, eligibility review, service-category review, coverage-area review, lead access, and compliance.

Contractor documents may include driver license information, vehicle registration, auto insurance, general liability insurance, and service-specific license, permit, registration, insurance, vehicle, equipment, or eligibility information.

Submitting documents does not guarantee approval. ER24 may approve, deny, limit, suspend, or remove contractor access based on information submitted, document expiration, service category, coverage area, business needs, trust and safety concerns, suspected fraud, legal compliance concerns, or other operational reasons.

Contractors are responsible for ensuring that the information and documents they provide are accurate, current, valid, and legally sufficient for the services they offer.

07. Payments, Wallets, Lead Access, and Service Providers

ER24 may allow approved contractors to purchase lead access, use wallet balances, receive account credits, or pay through a third-party payment processor.

Third-party payment processors may collect and process payment information under their own terms and privacy notices. ER24 may receive transaction status, payment references, lead access records, account credit records, refund or credit review records, chargeback information, and related metadata.

For the current launch model, ER24 processes contractor lead access payments or credits. Payment for the actual roadside service is generally coordinated directly between the customer and contractor unless ER24 expressly states otherwise.

08. Communications, Phone Verification, and Notifications

ER24 may use phone numbers, email addresses, and account information to send or support:

  • Phone verification codes.
  • Account verification messages.
  • Service request updates.
  • Contractor approval or account updates.
  • Contractor-related operational updates.
  • Support responses.
  • Safety, security, fraud prevention, or policy messages.
  • Payment, wallet, lead access, refund, or account credit notices.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. If ER24 supports text messages, users may be able to reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, where supported.

ER24 does not claim to operate a marketing SMS program as part of the current launch model. If ER24 later offers marketing text messages, ER24 should use a separate consent process where required by law.

09. Cookies, Logs, and Usage Data

ER24 may use cookies, local storage, session storage, logs, or similar technologies to operate the platform, maintain sessions, support authentication, remember preferences, improve reliability, measure usage, prevent fraud, and protect security.

ER24 does not currently maintain a separate Cookie Policy. Cookie and usage practices are covered in this Privacy Policy for launch. If ER24 later expands analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, ER24 may update this Privacy Policy or publish a separate Cookie Policy.

10. Data Security and Retention

ER24 uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. These measures may include access controls, authentication, vendor controls, monitoring, logging, and operational review.

No website, app, database, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials, devices, email accounts, and phone numbers.

ER24 keeps information for as long as reasonably needed for platform operation, account management, contractor approval, lead access, payment records, support, safety, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, business records, and enforcement of ER24 policies. ER24 may delete, archive, anonymize, or retain information based on operational, legal, safety, fraud, dispute, or compliance needs.

11. Your Choices and Privacy Requests

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about certain personal data. You may also have rights to opt out of certain uses of personal data where those uses apply.

To make a privacy request, contact ER24 at support@er24.io. ER24 may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

You may also be able to update some account information directly in your account. You can control some device permissions, cookies, and location settings through your browser or device settings.

Some information may need to be retained for legal, tax, payment, fraud prevention, safety, dispute, security, or business record purposes.

12. Children and Minors

ER24 is not intended for children under 18. Do not use ER24, submit a request, apply as a contractor, or provide personal information if you are under 18.

If ER24 learns that it collected personal information from a child in a way that requires deletion, ER24 will take reasonable steps to delete the information unless retention is required or permitted by law.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

ER24 may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When ER24 updates the policy, ER24 will change the Last Updated date.

Continued use of ER24 after an updated Privacy Policy is posted means you acknowledge the updated policy.
